FATHER JOHN MISTY - FEAR FUN
I might like some of this more than the last Fleet Foxes album. Not that I can really compair it to FF, it’s definitely different, don’t get me wrong. But I guess one would automatically make the connection. It’s worth a listen for sure. The physical copy is pretty cool too. It’s fat.

YPPAH - EIGHTY ONE
So it looks like my days are numbered as music director. It’s been a good ride and I’ll miss all the new music. But, hold on to your butts, the next few weeks it’s coming at you hard. Yppah was a pleasant surprise. If you you like Tycho you’ll probably love this.This song is called “Blue Schwinn.”

PERFUME GENIUS - PUT YOUR BACK N 2 IT
This album is really pretty and kind of emotional. Weird. This might be my new go-to sad sap album. The song is called “Dark Parts.”
ERRORS - HAVE SOME FAITH IN MAGIC
These guys have been one of my favorite instrumental bands ever since I saw them open for Mogwai about a year ago. On the album description is says “push-pulling the listener between dance floor and headphones.” I think that describes them perfectly. This song is called “Tusk.”
BRIAN LOPEZ - ULTRA
This one took me by surprise because of how douchey the cover looks (sorry). But the music is great. I wonder if there is any relation to Omar Rodriguez-Lopez? Kinda Looks like it, ya think? You’re hearing “Montjuic.”
POLICA - GIVE YOU THE GHOST
This album seems to be something that I’ve been waiting to hear. It’s like everything I find myself wanting James Blake to sound like. This is more groovy, and percussive, yet still haunting with electronic voice manipulations. But, you should definitely check it out. This song is called “Wandering Star.”
THE BIG PINK - FUTURE THIS
Oh, and I guess I need to mention one of the bigger releases this week. I’m sure this one will be adored among the kids. I’m trying real hard not to compare it to their last album, but I’m sure it’ll hold up.
RUN DAN RUN - NORMAL
All right, I’m not even going to draw attention to the fact that it’s been quite some time since my last post. Moving on. To be honest, I’ve been having trouble finding some good music to post so far this year. There have been a lot of “mehs.” But I think this album is something I think a lot of people could get into. This track is called “In Parts.” There will be more, I’m sure, because I’m excited for a bunch of records that are coming out soon. I’ll let you know which ones when we get to them.
